Farmhouse Renovation Sheffield, Mass

After several years in their historic farmhouse, the owners realized their need to swap the dining room and the kitchen: the kitchen was too remote to engage with family and guests while they were cooking, and the dining room needed separation so it could act as a quiet study space. Now, the new kitchen is open to the family room and the new dining room has a panoramic view of their property and a new granite terrace. In between these spaces is a custom millwork ‘box’ that houses a bar, powder room, and appliance garage. The new black kitchen units were provided by Vipp. A new efficient boiler and central air conditioning system was installed throughout. The new dining room includes a custom designed white oak cantilevered bench and trestle table.
